UPDATE: AUDITION NOTICE
The Next Folding Theatre Company would like to re-announce In-Person Auditions for our 2022-2023 season! Auditions are being held on the following dates:
Friday, April 22nd, 2022 (6pm-8pm)
Sunday, April 24th, 2022 (2pm-4pm)
At the TNB Rehearsal Space at 55 Whiting Road
Actors must come prepared with a rehearsed modern/contemporary monologue of 3-4 minutes in length.
We are now also accepting video submissions!
Video submissions must include your contact information, your 3-4 minute monologue performance and rehearsal availability. Please send these submissions to artisticdirector@nextfolding.ca
Deadline for video submissions: MIDNIGHT, Sunday, April 24th, 2022
No previous theatre experience is required. All are welcome!

New Brunswick Theatre Development
The Next Folding Theatre Company is dedicated to producing theatrical works created by new and emerging Canadian artists. Our mandate includes assisting playwrights by providing them with workshop productions, as well as second productions of their scripts. We also seek to create unique collaborative works each year, involving local artists from many different areas of specialization.
Currently the NFTC is accepting submissions for their 2018-2019 season. We carefully consider and respond to all applicants, although response time may vary depending on the season.

With nearly 20 years of playwriting experience, our collective of artists have the experience to help you bring your creative ideas to life. Whether you are the Artistic Director of a Professional Theatre Company looking for a new adaptation of an existing classic, a community leader looking for an experienced workshop leader or an emerging playwright looking for basic advice on your first script, the Artists of the Next Folding Theatre Company are ready to work for you. Community workshop services, dramaturgy and contract writing are available. All fees are negotiable and all work requests will be considered.

Ryan Griffith - Artistic Director
Ryan Griffith grew up along the banks of the Saint John River near Woodstock, New Brunswick. A graduate of the National Theatre School of Canada, Ryan enjoys performing and writing for theatres in his home province. His play LUTZ was produced by the NotaBle Acts Theatre Festival, and subsequently published by Playwrights Canada Press in 2011. His short play SHEPODY, RAGE AND WOLFE was recently featured as part of the National Elevator Project Plays produced by Theatre Yes in Edmonton and Halifax, and both of his original plays RETURNING FIRE and FORTUNE OF WOLVES, as well as his adaptation of Alistair MacLeod’s THE BOAT have been recently produced by Theatre New Brunswick in Fredericton. Currently, he is working on a two-act play called WHARF and he is once again serving as the Artistic Director for the Next Folding Theatre Company in Fredericton, NB.
